According to reports in Italy, Italian defender Leonardo Bonucci has turned down a move to Spain after rejecting a contract offer from Barcelona.

The highly rated center back had recently emerged as a major transfer target for Barca after another of their summer transfer priority Marquinhos signed a contract extension with PSG last week.

According to today’s edition of the Italian newspaper, Tuttosport, Juventus are not worried a bit about Bonucci’s future given that he never asked to leave the club.

Due to club policy, Juventus are not open to selling any of their star players as they have no financial issues but the club’s policy changes when big players ask to leave the club.

The big defender never handed in a transfer request and is not planning to do it in the future. The Italian recently signed a contract extension with Juventus last October and that contract runs till 2021.
