According to reports, Barcelona is considering a surprise move for Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic.
The Croatian international signed for Real Madrid in the summer of 2015 from Inter Milan and has scored three times in 73 appearances over the last two seasons for Los Blancos.
Kovacic only managed 19 starts for Real Madrid last season in La Liga, and it has been claimed that the midfielder is considering leaving the Bernabeu.
Don Balon claim that new Barca boss is eyeing a move for the 23-year-old, a move that would make Kovacic one of the few players who made a switch from Real Madrid to Barca.
Barcelona is in need of a new central midfielder this summer and has since been linked with a move for Italian star Marco Verratti. As it looks, there’s been little or no progress between Barca and PSG despite much speculation.
