Premier League predictions: Man United, Liverpool and Man City to win?

This Premier League weekend would reshape the top of the table. Liverpool and Manchester City could change the places or Liverpool would keep leading. It is the same with Chelsea and Manchester United, who fight for a top 4 finish.

Fulham vs Manchester United

With 7 points between them and the 17th placed Burnley, it will be over for The Cottagers if they don’t get 3 point out of this home fixture. The biggest problem for the Cottagers in this game isn’t that they have the worst defensive record in the League. It is that Manchester United, who have written off the season under Jose Mourinho are now only 2 points short of the 4th place. Considering the differences in the class, I thin that United have a better chance to win this fixtures.

Man United to win: 1:3

Crystal Palace vs West Ham

The Eagles are slowly climbing the table and distancing themselves from the relegation zone. As of now they look like they will be playing in the Premier League next season.

West Ham are an ambitious team and even with some of their best players injured they are still a very competitive side. However, it loo s time that they would not win at Selhurst Park.

Draw: 1:1

Huddersfield vs Arsenal

Arsenal can’t afford to drop point if they are about to keep chasing for a top 4 finish. I thin that they will win against de facto relegated Terriers. The gunners are good enough to win this fixture, but they should be careful as if the Terriers look at the table and realize they have nothing to worry about anymore, they would be able to free their minds and put a strong performance.

Arsenal to win: 1:2

Liverpool vs Bournemouth

A lot have been said about Liverpool within the last 10 days and most comments point to the fact that the Reds aren’t playing at the same level they used to do in the first half of the season. Many pundits say that the quality of the Liverpool’s defence is decreasing. Well, did anyone expect the Reds to be that consistent the whole season and to win each and every game. I don’t think so. Whatever happens to Liverpool isn’t something we haven’t seen with other teams in the past. With a very few exceptions, including Man City last season, each and every team who have fought for the title through the years have had their ups and downs during the season. What is important for Liverpool at the moment is that wherever Their title rivals Man City loose, the Reds draw.

The AFC Bournemouth team who are coming to Anfield consist of a group of players who are confident they can win any game. The Cherries know that if they win or draw at Anfield this would be a game changer in the title race. However, I think that it will be a difficult win for the Reds.

Liverpool to win: 2:0

Southampton vs Cardiff City

Southampton mid win this home fixture against another team who is endangered of relegation. It is not going to be easy for them as Cardiff City could our a performance which would even win them the fixture.

Southampton to win: 2:1

Watford vs Everton

Everton have not been able to get anything out of their home game against Manchester City and from the fan’s point of view this is sweat loss, because it made sure that the Pep Guardiola’s side has closed the gap to Liverpool. However, I think that Everton is simply not good enough to get something out of any fixture that involves Manchester City. This is the main challenge for the Toffees – they are far behind in their development compared to the top 6 Premier League tams. This is what Marco Silva is expected to change and as of now he is not doing that.

In theory Watford are one of the so called “lesser” teams compared to Everton, but in reality the Hornet are 1 point above the Toffees in the table and I believe they are a better team – one with is technically better than Everton and one that plays with more energy.

Watford to win: 2:1

Brighton & Hove Albion vs Burnley

Brighton have a reputation of a very solid team at home, but despite that their stable performances so fat this season, they are still 3 points above the 17th place Burnley and there fore they are very close to the relegation zone. If the Seagulls want to look safe they need to win this home fixture.

Burnley haven’t won in the Premier League since 12th of January when they have beaten Fulham by 2:1 at home. If they get a point at Brighton, this would be a very good result for them.

Brighton to win: 2:1

Tottenham Hotspur vs Leicester City

Spurs are just five points below the league leaders Liverpool and Manchester City and it looks like they are in the title race. They have been written off by many over the course of the season, but even with some of the their best players, they still keep going.

Mauricio Pochettino have obviously build a very strong team and I believe he is just one step closer to true Tottenham to an European heavyweight. For that he needs to win any trophy or to be consistently among the top side in England and in the Champions league.

Leicester are one of the best teams in the Premier League if we consider the money spent on players and the results achieved. However, this season a top 10 finish is the only realistic target for them.

Tottenham to win: 2:1

Manchester City vs Chelsea

This is a game in which Chelsea should demonstrate how good their current team is. If they loose this fixture against the champions they will be out of the top for at least for a week. I think that City are the most likely winners, but if Chelsea puts a strong performance and plays with the right tactics, they can win at Etihad.

The Maurizio Sarri’s team is supposed to be one of the most solid defensive teams in the league. However, this was the team to concede 4 goals on their visit to Bournemouth 2 weeks ago.

Manchester City to win: 2:1

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Newcastle United

Wolves are expected to win this fixture as their a better team the Newcastle and they aren’t under pressure, which means that their player can enjoy playing. However, Newcastle are a very motivated side at the moment and Rafael Benitez made them very competitive team, especially when they play on the road. As a visiting side Newcastle are very compact and don’t leave much spaces for the oppositions striker to operate. It looks to me that The Magpies will get something out of this fixture.

Draw: 1:1
