Premier League predictions: West Ham, Brighton and Liverpool to win

With focus now back on the Premier League, the tensions are high as the fight for Top 4 really starts to take shape and no club is safe from relegation as three points divide 12th and 18th place. The transfer window has been open for a while too so big deals could be on their way, but for now, the emphasis will be on getting three more points on the board.

Chelsea v Leicester

We start our series of 3pm kick offs with the reigning Champions who have finally started to show the form we saw a season ago. Especially at Stamford Bridge, where the Blues have won seven league games in a row, they will be a tough side to beat. Even though up front they may have a struggling Alvaro Morata, they still have the threat of Eden Hazard, Willian and even the likes of Marcus Alonso chipping in with goals.

For Leicester City, this game could go one of two ways. Claude Puel has got them playing fantastic football and has revitalised the team, visibly more so in Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy. The two stars of Leicester are at it again and if Puel can keep a hold of them in this window, they can fight for a Europa League place. However, their away form has not been great, with 2-1 defeats in their last two, so I don’t think they will be able to contain Chelsea here or penetrate the Blues’чsturdy defence.

Chelsea to win:  1-0

Crystal Palace v Burnley

Crystal Palace have survived a terrible start to the season by turning things around with the appointment of Roy Hodgson. With just a penalty miss stopping them from getting 3 points against Manchester City the Eagles have played very well in recent games. With one home defeat in seven games Crystal Palace will go into this match full of confidence even if they have a few injuries.

Unlike their opponents, Burnley have done very well start of the season but have now finally started to dip in form, something that was expected for a long time. When 0 wins in their last 5 and the last away game victory being back in November, Sean Dyche must stop the rot. Having said that burn your still in a very respectable seventh position and will be tough for the hosts to break down.

Crystal Palace to win: 2: 1

Huddersfield v West Ham

Huddersfield going to this game without a home win in 4 matches but have strengthened their side with two new signings who could be making their debut in this game. With such an exciting brand a football being played at Kirklees Stadium expect a resilient side looking to take three points against a direct mid-table rival.

For West Ham this started as a season to forget as they further slipped behind the top clubs and found themselves in a relegation battle. Fast forward to when David Moyes was appointed and suddenly, they are looking like the team to beat. With a draws over Arsenal and Spurs as well as a victory over Chelsea, the Hammers are looking good and I think they’ll win here.

West Ham to win 1-3

Newcastle v Swansea

Rafael Benitez made a great start to his Premier League campaign with Newcastle but has finally hit a slump, with only two wins in their last eleven games. It’s not the kind of form the Magpies would have wanted and Benitez definitely needs to recruit in order to compete.

Swansea, meanwhile, are staring relegation in the face as they loom at the foot of the table and if they don’t turn their fortunes around soon, it’s the Championship for them next season. Only one win in their last seven games means they will have fight for every single point here. It’s a battle of two struggling clubs.

Draw: 1-1

Watford v Southampton

Marco Silva has made quite the impression this season with big home wins against sides they didn’t have a chance against matched by really poor performances in games they should have won. Right now, Watford are struggling with five defeats in six and need a big performance here to stop the descent.

Southampton should be performijng better this season, given the quality of their players and what they have achieved the past few seasons. However, even with Charlie Austin’s impressive form, the Saints have looked lacklustre and are hanging by a thread . The relegation battle is an intensee one wnd unfortunately, Mauricio Pellegrino is in it.

Draw: 0-0

West Brom v Brighton

West Brom have not won a single Prmeier League game since August, and are sokmehow in 19th, a remarkable feat considering how bad that run is. The 1-1 draw with Arsenal was extremely lucky and Pardew will need more of that if he wants to keep this side up.

Brighton are enjoying life in the Premier League and will definitely be applauded for staying up, let alone taking a mid-table spot. If they keep up this form, that will not be out of the question for Chris Hughton’s side.

Brighton to win: 0:1

Tottenham v Everton

The North London side are making a claim for the Top 4 as they find themselves three points behind Liverpool in 4th. They have won seven of their last eight games, causing a big pick up in form. At Wembley, they have shown their promise and I expect that to fully continue, especially with superstar Harry Kane breaking all sorts of records.

New signing Cenk Tosun is set to make his debut for Everton after being signed a week ago. Hopefully with him, he will bring a new lease of energy as Sam Allardyce’s side haven’t had a win in the last five games. I don’t think they’ll get anything here.

Tottenham to win: 2-0

Bournemouth v Arsenal

The Cherries find themselves in good form as they come to this fixture. However, Eddie Howe’s side have never won a game against Arsenal and they’ll need something special here. If it can be another thrilling encounter, like last season’s 3-3 draw, this will be one to watch.

Arsenal are up and down and highly inconsistent, something which will hinder their chances for the Top 4. The recent run of draws hasn’t helped either and they need to find their shooting boots soon, which will be even more difficult considering Alexis Sanchez has one foot out the door.

Arsenal to win: 1:2

Liverpool v Man City

This is the big one and everyone will be looking forward to tbis fixture. If the Reds can end Man City’s unbeaten run, they would truly classify themselves as a contender for 2nd place. At Anfield, Liverpool haven’t lost a single game and if they can prevent a defeat here, fans will be pleased.

Man City are in dreamland and practically have one hand on the title but many are waiting for the slip-up to come, which almost came at Crystal Palace. However luck has been on theirnside and if Pep Guardiola can win here at Anfield, that will be one statement of intent that the Citizens are one of the best sides to grace the league.

I reckon with the returning Salah, Liverpool will edge this.

Liverpool to win: 2-1

Man Utd v Stoke

With a run of poor form, Jose Mourinho has been under fire for the first time as United boss and it’s no surprise. Now has to be the time United regain their form and this should be the fixture to do it.

Stoke City are struggling to get anything out of their games with only one win in seven. Now with Mark Hughes gone, we can expect a better team performance although getting even a point at Old Trafford is a big ask.

Man Utd to win: 3-0
