This is big deal. The NFL superstar JJ Watt went public about his relationship status. On instagram he posted a romantic photo with his new girlfriend Kealia Ohai.

Kealia Ohai is a pro soccer star and they have been dating for months. Watt wished her girlfriend for her birthday. He wrote, "Happy Birthday beautiful. May this be your best year yet! @kealiamae."

On a podcast, Ohai was asked whether she and Watt were dating. “The rumors are true. We are dating,” she publicly confirmed their relationship for the first time. “I’ve known J.J. for a really long time, and we’ve always been great friends.” The soccer star had nothing but praise for her boyfriend Watt.  She told, “Yeah, I’m really proud of him for everything he’s been going through, but it’s been pretty crazy with all the rumors.”

On Watt’s 28th birthday, Ohai surprised her boyfriend with a short but sweet visit to his cabin in Wisconsin. “On her only off day during preseason camp, flew in to spend 12 hours here for my birthday. Such an awesome surprise. Thank you beautiful,” he captioned the photo. Ohai returned the love with her own sweet post: “Happy birthday @justinjames99 I love you a lot ??,” she wrote.

Ohai grew up in Utah, where she was a dominant athlete at Alta High. In soccer she led her team to four straight state championships, and on the track she ran the 100-meter dash and 4×100-meter relay. As the best soccer player in Utah, Ohai received her share of accolades. She was Gatorade Player of the Year for Utah twice, was named Utah Ms. Soccer in 2008 and 2009, and was the 2010 NSCAA National High School Player of the Year.

Watt's future wife Ohai has plenty of national team experience, but it’s not at the senior level. She has experience with the U18 and U20 teams, and she scored the game-winning goal for the U20 team at the Women’s World Cup in Japan.
