Xiaomi says giving free fix to Mi A3 users post faulty update


Users plagued by glitches can go to the company's service centre for a solution, irrespective of the warranty period, Xiaomi said


According to the smartphone OEM, users plagued by such glitches can go to the company's service centre for a solution, irrespective of the warranty period.


We kindly request users who experience this issue to visit any of the 2,000 plus service centres across the country nearer to you wherein a solution will be provided for free unconditionally (within or beyond warranty)," the company said in a statement.


Several Mi A3 users took to social media after they were affected by bricking issue post the latest Android 11 update.


The bricking glitch came to the fore last week when users reported that their devices became dead after the installation of the Android 11 update.


Meanwhile, several users also created and signed a petition on people's platform -- Change.org, in a bid to urge Xiaomi to replace or fix the affected Mi A3 models for free.
