Seth Curry's new coach, Doc Rivers, is also his father-in-law

On a roster that doesn't possess too many knockdown shooting threats, Seth Curry may have added pressure to be as close to automatic as possible in the Sixers' backcourt.

He'll help to replace Josh Richardson, who shot just 34.1 percent from deep last year, and will fit next to Ben Simmons — for now — who, well, doesn't shoot three-pointers.

But if that pressure isn't enough for Seth, a proven deadeye from deep, maybe the fact that he's married to the daughter of his new head coach will put more weight on his shoulders.

Doc's son, NBA player Austin Rivers, was also complimentary of Curry, his former teammate.

Fox Sports analyst Chris Broussard , ironically, pointed to George's special treatment from Rivers as one of the reasons that Clippers role players were growing unhappy with their head coach, who stepped down in a "mutual decision" between him and the organization.

Now, with a fresh slate in Philadelphia for both Rivers and Curry, Sixers fans are hopeful that the best of each will come out and lead the team to much-desired success.
