Beermen, Hotshots make their debut

Both teams see action 21 days after San Miguel captured its fifth straight Philippine Cup by edging Magnolia in a finals that went the full seven games.

Import Charles Rhodes will reinforce the Beermen as he aims to help them win the crown like they did during his previous stint in the 2017 Commissioner’s Cup.

Rhodes hopes to make good use of the Beermen’s frontline advantage along with June Mar Fajardo and Christian Standhardinger.

NorthPort suffered its first loss of the conference after falling 73-70 to defending champion Barangay Ginebra San Miguel last Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Prince Ibeh could impose problems for the Beermen in the paint while Sean Anthony, Stanley Pringle, Mo Tautuaa and rookie Robert Bolick seek key roles.

Former Columbian import John Fields leads the Hotshots along with Mark Barroca, Ian Sangalang, PJ Simon and Paul Lee.
