Penn State Football is No. 3 in Big Ten NFL Combine Invites in Franklin Era

Tags: big ten

With seven Nittany Lions taking part in the 2019 Combine — which kicks off Tuesday in Indianapolis and runs through next Monday — and eight in 2018, among Big Ten teams only Ohio State (with 21) has had more players participate in the event over the past two seasons.

Penn Staters taking part in the 2019 Combine are: QB Trace McSorley, CB Amani Oruwariye, RB Miles Sanders, OL Ryan Bates and Connor McGovern, and DL Shareef Miller and Kevin Givens.

Here is the rest of the unofficial Top 20, based upon my review of the year-by-year invitation lists released by the NFL:

2014 (3) — DL DaQuan Jones, WR Allen Robinson, OL John Urschel

2015 (5) — DB Adrian Amos, PK Sam Ficken, LB Mike Hull, TE Jesse James, OL Donovan Smith

2019 (7) — OL Ryan Bates, DL Kevin Givens, OL Connor McGovern, QB Trace McSorley, DL Shareef Miller, CB Amani Oruwariye, RB Miles Sanders
