Filipinos winless in Pacquiao-Broner undercard as Jayar Inson drops split decision

Jayar Inson, who hails from Davao city, lost via split decision to American Jonathan Steele in their eight-round welterweight contest.

Steele (9-2-1) bounced back from his loss to Sanjarbek Rakhmanov on December 7, 2018 while Inson (18-2) dropped his first fight since losing to Thulani Mbenge in June 10, 2017.

Inson’s loss saw his five-fight winning streak snapped and it also followed up the Rey Perez’ defeat to George Kambosos Jr. earlier in the card.

Perez (24-11) lost via unanimous decision to Kambosos (16-0), who is Pacquiao’s Sparring Partner for the fight against Lucas Matthysse.

Earlier, Rey Perez fell to Manny Pacquiao’s sparring partner George Kambosos Jr.
