Alex Rodriguez may be a nice guy, but the mother of his former girlfriend, Silicon Valley CEO Anne Wojcicki, said the baseball star wasn’t “intellectual” enough for her daughter.
Esther Wojcicki didn’t hold back about the man her daughter, the co-founder and CEO of the genetics mail-order testing firm 23andMe, dated for about a year and a half in a new interview with The New York Times .
“I liked A-Rod, he was a very nice man,” Esther — who is a teacher and journalist — said in a profile on Anne published on Saturday.
“If we went to Target to look for clothes for the kids, all of a sudden we’d be looking around and people would be saying, ‘We just want a selfie with A-Rod.’ He can’t walk across Central Park.
