Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy tweeted praise for quarterback Mason Rudolph and linebacker Justin Phillips on Sunday.
Rudolph and Phillips were named Oklahoma State’s Week 2 offense and defense Most Valuable Players, respectively, the coach announced on Twitter.
Rudolph was 25-of-38 passing for 335 yards and 3 touchdowns in the Cowboys’ 44-7 win over South Alabama on Friday.
Rudolph connected with James Washington on a 66-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter.
He then found Marcell Ateman for a 4-yard score to put the Cowboys up 17-0 by the end of the first quarter.
