Job Search means to market yourself. With some thoughtful planning and proactive moves, Hence you can dramatically increase your chances of getting a job.

Often when people are looking for a new job, they don’t take the time out to take stock of where they are and what they want.  Reflect on the job you have done, what worked and what didn’t.

Consider:

Your strengths, weaknesses and key skills

What you like to do and don’t like to do

What do you value most e.g. recognition, autonomy, responsibility, pay and so on?

Create a support system for yourself emotionally and for your job search. Know some will have strengths in one area, but weaknesses in another.Maintain a positive attitude.

  • All with different information and formatting requirements, which can make managing your resume postings a very time-consuming process.
  1. Employment Agencies:-

  • Employment agencies are matchmakers.
  • Some agencies recruit people for full-time jobs, part-time jobs, permanent jobs, others recruit people for temporary or local jobs.
  • Agencies are listed in the yellow pages of your phone book under “employment”.
  1. Direct mail: –

  • In addition to this build a list of 20 companies that interest you.
  • Get the name of the manager who runs the department where you want to work.
  • Send your resume and a cover letter to each manager explaining why you want to work for them.
  1. Interviewing Dress And Grooming Checklist: –

  • No jeans, tanks tops, shorts, or very casual clothes.
  • Be conservative.
  • Careful grooming is a must.
  • Spend some money for a good outfit if necessary.
  • Consider an interview “uniform”.

  • Ask for the interview.
  • Sell yourself, but don’t push and don’t beg.
  • Wrap it up and confirm the date.

  • Conducting a proactive job search can be one of the most stressful and frustrating jobs experiences you’ve ever had.
  • Like with any job, you need to take breaks and have some balance maintain a fresh perspective, stay focused, and keep your determination and spirits up.
  1. Always Have A “Plan B”:-

  • The best time to accelerate your job search is when you’ve just had the greatest interview of your life.
  • You’re feeling confident, enthusiastic and competent.

  • Take care of yourself physically, emotionally and spiritually. Exercise and eating right can’t go wrong they are proven to enhance the quality of life.
