Shakib Al Hasan will not be included in the Bangladesh World Cup squad in the upcoming clash against the Australian cricket team in Pune. The all-rounder is out of the Bangladesh World Cup squad. Recently, he made the headlines after he made a timed-out appeal to the umpires, resulting in Angelo Matthews’ dismissal. He became the first cricketer in international cricket to get dismissed in that fashion.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh supporters will not be seeing Shakib Al Hasan in the Bangladesh World Cup squad in the next game. The Tigers will play their last group-stage match against Australia.
The game will kick off at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune on November 11, Saturday. Bangladesh cricket team have already been eliminated from the competition owing to poor performances.
On the other hand, the Australian cricket team defeated Afghanistan by 3 wickets. As a result, they finished third on the points table. They will lock horns with South Africa in the semi-final.

BCB Name Shakib’s Replacement In Bangladesh World Cup 2023 Squad
In the latest development, BCB got the green light from ICC regarding the replacement. The Tigers have named batter Anamul Haque as the replacement for injured Shakib Al Hasan.
Bangladesh’s experienced all-rounder has been ruled out of the Bangladesh World Cup squad with a fractured left index finger. Bangladesh team physio Bayjedul Islam Khan provided an update as to why Shakib is ruled out of the Bangladesh squad.
“Shakib was struck on his left index finger early in his innings but continued to bat with supportive taping and painkillers,” Bangladesh team physio Bayjedul Islam Khan was quoted as saying by the ICC on Tuesday.
“He underwent an emergency X-ray in Delhi after the game which confirmed the fracture on the left PIP joint. Recovery is estimated at three to four weeks. He will leave for Bangladesh today to begin his rehab.”
