After Barton’s three seasons between 2017 and 2019, they failed to reach the playoffs and finished last twice. RCB team finished the season third in IPL 2021 and fourth in IPL 2022, making some progress.

For the 2023 IPL season, the RCB team will be managed by experienced South African cricketer Faf du Plessis. RCB also has big names like Virat Kohli, Dinesh Karthik, Wanindu Hasaranga, Glenn Maxwell, etc. in the group. After reaching the IPL 2022 qualifiers, RCB aims to go further, reach the finals and lift the trophy. Over the year RCB had some legendary players on their team like AB De Villiers, Chris Gayle, Daniel Vettori, Anil Kumble, etc.

From current Indian manager Rahul Dravid’s first season in the Indian Premier League to the likes of Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Chris Gayle, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team have always fielded superstars. However, they never really came together as a team and a league title eluded them.

Versatile New Zealander Michael Bracewell has joined the RCB team for the upcoming 16th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). He will replace injured English player Will Jacks for IPL 2023.
