Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has once again insisted that he wants to stay at the La Liga side amid speculation surrounding his future.

Carlo Ancelotti has been linked with the job of Brazil’s national football team manager. Brazil are currently without a permanent manager after Tite stepped down from the position after their FIFA World Cup 2022 campaign.

Reports previously suggested Carlo Ancelotti would become the next manager of Brazil. However, such reports were denied by both Ancelotti and the Brazilian Football Federation.

But, Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) president, Ednaldo Rodrigues, recently admitted that they are interested in hiring Carlo Ancelotti. He said Ancelotti is the players’ and fans’ favourite choice to become the next manager of Brazil.

However, Carlo Ancelotti has once again stressed that he wants to stay as the manager of Real Madrid. Ancelotti has a contract that runs until 2024 with Real Madrid. That means he has one more year left on his deal with the Spanish behemoths.

I want to stay at Real Madrid. I’m happy. I have said many times that I would stay at Real Madrid for the rest of my life,” Carlo Ancelotti said [via Marca].

Marca report that Carlo Ancelotti has not committed himself to becoming the next manager of Brazil, nor have Real Madrid taken any decision with regards to the future of the Italian tactician at the club.

Marca also reports that the Brazilian Football Federation are willing to wait for the decision of Real Madrid on the future of Ancelotti.

Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti’s future as Real Madrid manager could depend on how the current season ends for the defending Champions League winners. Barcelona have all but sealed the La Liga title, with the Catalan outfit enjoying a 12-point lead over Real Madrid.

In Copa del Rey, Real Madrid have to turn the tie around in the second leg of the semi-final after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Barcelona in the first leg. If they fail to do so, Real Madrid will be knocked out of Copa del Rey.

In the Champions League, Real Madrid have qualified for the quarter-finals, and they will square off with Premier League side Chelsea for a place in the semi-finals of the competition.

If Real Madrid fails to win all three competitions they remain in contention for, it could raise questions over the future of Carlo Ancelotti at the club. Ancelotti will be hoping to avoid such a scenario.
