“The best player on the floor,”- Skip Bayless’s prediction on Austin Reaves following LeBron James’ return

The post “The best player on the floor,”- Skip Bayless’s prediction on Austin Reaves following LeBron James’ return appeared first on The12thMan.

LeBron James is always a target of Skip Bayless. The Los Angeles Lakers were victorious in a game that was incredibly crucial for them yesterday night. They have reached the point where one more defeat will propel them into the bottom five in their conference, putting an end to any postseason aspirations they may have had.

Because of that last victory, the gold and purple are now the 10th seed in the tournament. There is still a possibility that they could take part in the play-in competition, even though they will not be among the top six teams.

The loss of LeBron James has undoubtedly been detrimental to the team, but the emergence of Austin Reaves and the return of Anthony Davis have allowed them to stay afloat, albeit just barely. The most surprising aspect has been Reaves’ performance. Even if the fact that he is performing at the level of a first-class professional does not guarantee that he will go on to become a genuine superstar, the Lakers will profit enormously from having him on their team.

In the most recent episode of Undisputed, Skip Bayless speculated that LeBron James is observing Austin’s development while he watches the game from the bench. Additionally, Skip asserted that Reaves will be given an increased amount of playing time after this series of games, even though Bron will be back.

In the episode, Skip Bayless brought up Reaves’ miserable time in college and discussed the positive changes that had taken place in him over the previous year. Bayless praised the 24-year-old for his tremendous growth and predicted that LeBron James would be ready to collaborate with him soon.

Skip Bayless Said, “Lebron James Realized Last Year He Can Trust the Kid”

“Austin Reaves is the best player on the floor” : Skip Bayless prediction for LeBron James return

Bayless continued, saying, “LeBron James realized last year he can trust the kid. It’s not very often, at this level, in this league, that you have an undrafted, white American kid emerge out of nowhere. Because the youngster just knows how to play the game and the kid is brave. So, if you have the intelligence, or just sort of the feel for basketball, and are courageous, LeBron James is like okay.”

On the other hand, Austin Reaves has not been able to establish himself as a starting player. Having said that, Reaves scored the most points as a starter last night. It was also the second double-double of his career.

With all due respect, it is still too early to determine Reaves’ worth properly. We have already seen him play impressively coming off the bench

He has made 31 career starts, averaging 10.8 points, 2.8 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game. For a Los Angeles Lakers starter, these are not fantastic figures. The pressure on Austin to produce will only grow as more players vie for spots in the starting lineup. He is now in the spotlight, and it is up to him to either make or ruin it with his plans.
