Klay Thompson details the reason behind his 12 3-Pointers Against the Houston Rockets

The Golden State Warriors are now experiencing a rough patch in their history. They have come under considerable criticism due to their apparent flaws and their little ball. The defending champions took a significant amount of emotional damage after losing to the Lakers in their most recent contest.

The widespread perception has been that the Warriors’ performance has suffered significantly in Stephen Curry’s absence. But Klay Thompson made a significant change to that story just now.

That was a one-of-a-kind occasion, and it was shared by the other half of the splash brothers. Klay’s career in the NBA came to an end as a result of an injury he sustained and the time he spent away from the league as a direct result of that injury. On the other hand, he has reverted to his original state at this point.

The Warriors have had a bad month, but Klay Thompson’s stats have had a wonderful month despite the Warriors’ struggles. It was his second game in a month to record 12 three-pointers, and it happened in this game.

This has never been accomplished by any other player before him. When asked what motivated him to make 12 three-point shots, Thompson responded by saying that he wanted to beat Stephen Curry’s record.

In the interview that took place after the game, Klay Thompson was questioned about the factors that motivated him to have such a successful night hitting threes.

Jokingly, Thompson remarked that the only thing he wanted was to break the current record for three-pointers held by Stephen Curry.

“I really wanted to earn that 12th so that I could finally have one more record than Steph,” stated Thompson after he had achieved his goal of earning the 12th place. That one was satisfying given that he had just shattered all of the records for three-pointers.

In all fairness, it is a record that would be difficult to surpass in the future. In the past, Klay Thompson has not only accomplished the feat of making 12 three-pointers in a game twice, but he has also accomplished this feat three separate times.

He has now broken the revered record held by Stephen Curry of 12 games with at least one three-pointer made. They were tied with two games left to play after Klay Thompson made a total of 12 three-pointers while playing against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Klay Thompson made 12 three-point shots despite only taking 17 attempts at them. This equates to an accuracy rating of 70.6% when judging from three points.

In addition to this, Klay shot and made all six of his free throws. His incredible performance in the game, in which he scored 42 points, contributed to the Warriors’ 116-111 victory over the Rockets.
