Super Smash 2022-23: Canterbury’s fast bowler Angus Mckenzie showcased tremendous reflexes during the game against Otago at University Oval, Dunedin.
The fast bowler responded in time to take the catch in one hand. The video clip of him taking a superb reflex catch in one hand has gone viral on the internet.

The incident happened during the second ball of the ninth over. Angus Mckenzie pitched in with a length ball to the right-handed batsman which tempted him to play a shot.
As it turned out, the batter ended up playing the shot down the ground. Meanwhile, the fast bowler balanced himself in such a way that he would take the catch in one hand.

Talking about the game, Otago posted 266 for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted quota of 20 overs. Jake Gibson scored an unbeaten 75 off 48 balls including 3 fours and 3 sixes.
Foxcroft scored 46 off 29 balls including 4 boundaries and 3 sixes. On the other hand, Todd Astle was the pick of the bowlers as he took three wickets to his name.
In reply, Canterbury chased down the target in 16.5 overs and won the game by eight wickets. Ken McClure chipped in with 68 off 42 balls including six fours and three sixes.
Chad Bowes also opened the innings pretty well. He chipped in with 52 off 32 balls including nine boundaries and a six at a strike rate of 162.50.
