Cristiano Ronaldo could be reunited with former Real Madrid teammate at Al-Nassr as the Saudi Arabian outfit reportedly plot a move to sign Paris Saint-Germain and Costa Rica goalkeeper Keylor Navas.

Marca report that the injury Al-Nassr goalkeeper David Ospina has sustained has forced manager Rudi Garcia to request the signing of a goalkeeper. The Spanish outlet further claim that Keylor Navas is Al-Nassr’s first option.

They also report that negotiations with Keylor Navas over a move to the Saudi Arabian outfit are open and could be closed this week when the Costa Rican will be in Saudi Arabia for Paris Saint-Germain’s friendly match with Saudi All-Star XI – a team that comprises of players from Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal.

Keylor Navas is not the only player Al-Nassr are considering, but the Costa Rican goalkeeper is their priority to replace David Ospina, who recently suffered an elbow injury.

Keylor Navas has only featured in just one game for Paris Saint-Germain so far in the 22/23 season. The 36-year-old’s only appearance for PSG this season came in their 1-3 win over LB Chateauroux in the Coupe de France.

If Al-Nassr succeed in their pursuit of Keylor Navas, the Costa Rican goalkeeper will join his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo at the Saudi Arabian outfit.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Keylor Navas were teammates at Real Madrid four seasons between 2014 and 2018.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr on a free transfer in a mammoth contract that makes him the highest paid footballer in the world.

The Portuguese superstar left Manchester United in November last year after the two parties terminated his contract with the club by mutual consent. The decision to part ways came following Cristiano Ronaldo’s bombshell interview with Piers Morgan in which CR7 criticized Erik ten Hag and Manchester United among many others.

Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Al-Nassr. He has not yet made his debut for Al-Nassr. However, he is expected to make his debut in Saudi Arabia when Saudi All-Star XI take on PSG in a friendly.

Meanwhile, Keylor Navas has also attracted transfer interest from Premier League club Nottingham Forest after Dean Henderson suffered an injury. Dean Henderson is facing a spell on the sidelines after he sustained an injury during Nottingham Forest’s 2-0 win over Leicester City.

Navas, meanwhile, has a contract that runs until 2024 with Paris Saint-Germain.
