Draymond Green Expresses His Gratitude for Having Stephen Curry as a Teammate

Despite the fact that they are polar opposites both on and off the court, Draymond Green and Stephen Curry have been able to forge a strong and fruitful partnership over the course of their careers.

After they and the Warriors as a whole did not make the playoffs in 2020 and 2021, they and the Warriors were written off as potential contenders. However, in 2022, they were able to come back and win the championship.

Stephen Curry tore apart the legendary Boston Celtics defence on his way to earning Finals MVP honours, and he was simply amazing on the game’s biggest stage. This year, Steph was also in the running for another honour.

Stephen Curry is the only NBA player to have received the award twice, and Draymond, who was present at the awards presentation, had some very nice things to say about his buddy.

It is an incredible honour for me to share the stage with a man who is so committed to his craft, to the pursuit of excellence, and to being a wonderful person.

We are all aware that being a skilled player is not sufficient to win this reward on its own.

Everything that goes into it, everything that he does for the community as a unique individual, is what makes it possible. Everything that goes into it makes it feasible. “It is a blessing to have such a capable person on one’s team.”

Recently, Warriors assistant coach Kenny Atkinson lauded Stephen Curry for the excellent character and humility he possesses. Kenny Atkinson also lauded Stephen Curry for being a beautiful person overall.

Because even the best things in life must one day come to an end, the great Stephen Curry will have to give up playing basketball at some point in the future.

Draymond mentioned that Curry will be turning 35 in the near future, so the day in question is not too far off. During the award ceremony, Steph was asked about it, and in response, he stated that he does not plan to slow down anytime soon.

Following a conversation with Tom Brady, he was advised to take things “one year at a time.” Even though Steph will not play as long as Tom Brady did into his 40s, he could still have a few more very productive seasons remaining in him.
