Ranji Trophy: The 2007-08 Champions Delhi have announced a list of probables for the upcoming Ranji season and veteran campaigners such as Shikhar Dhawan and Ishant Sharma have been comprehended into the squad.

Youngsters Ayush Badoni, Yash Dhull, and southpaw Nitish Rana, who captained Delhi in Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy recently are also present in the probables list. The 28-year-old Nitish is in the nascent juncture of his first-class career where he has aggregated 2266 first-class runs in 38 matches averaging 41.2.
Meanwhile, on Monday morning, the 39 members were meant to report at Roshanara Ground in accordance with the probable list published by DDCA, but more than half of them failed to turn up.
The management is also hopeful that players like Simarjeet Singh and Pradeep Sangwan can retain their health throughout the season because the team’s pacers’ fitness has been their primary concern.

The Delhi Cricket Team has conquered Ranji Trophy 7 times in the past and they are placed in the Elite B Group of the competition alongside Saurashtra, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Mumbai, and Assam.
In the previous season, Delhi attained the wooden spoon in Elite Group H and failed to qualify for the knockouts with 0 wins in 4 games. Delhi would play their opening fixture against Maharastra on December 13th at Pune. They will play their first home game against Tamil Nadu on December 27th.
