FPL Gameweek 10: Top Picks for Forwards

After the midweek Champions League and Europa League, we are back with another weekend with another Premier League action. The Premier League returns with its game week 10 actions. With the Premier League, we also have the return of FPL. The Fantasy Premier League is here with its game week 10 actions.

So far in FPL, we have seen Manchester City players dominate the FPL regarding claiming points.  Be it Manchester City defenders or midfielders or attacking players. The Blues of Manchester have dominated in the points table. We also have some surprise packages such as Newcastle United’s few players who also have been constant performers.

In game week 9 of the premier league, we saw two derbies, the north London derby, and the other Manchester derby. In those derbies, one side clearly dominated the other and of course, their players had a field day in FPL. With games coming thick and fast many FPL managers will be in some trouble about their line-ups for this game week 10.

Any FPL team has 3 important components. The defence, the midfield, and the attack. Let’s find what will be the best possible options for 3 categories one by one. So let’s get started without further ado. Any misunderstandings you may have concerning the Forwards choices in this piece will be dispelled by us. Here are our picks for the Fantasy Premier League’s best forwards in Game week 10.

Top Picks for Forwards for FPL Gameweek 10

Erling Haaland (Manchester City)

The first name on any FPL manager squad list must be Erling Haaland from Manchester City.  Haaland since joining from Dortmund has just turned the premier league upside down. Haaland is no less than a beast in the forward line. He can score goals in difficult situations. Now with working under Pep Haaland build-up is getting better day by day.

Haaland in 8 premier league games has scored 14 goals averaging almost 2 goals per match. He has the best Expected Goals (xG) of 8.26, and an xA of 3.39 among Premier league forwards. In terms of FPL Haaland is just 4 points away from 100 points. He has 96 points just in 8 games averaging 12 points per game.

Haaland once again registered his name in the records book last game week. He became the first player to score 3 hat tricks in three back-to-back home games. Haaland has no doubts that if he continues this insane form will smash all the premier league records in no time.

In the FPL game week, 10 Manchester City will be facing Southampton. The Saints have been defensively sceptical and have a tendency to leak goals. Manchester City has scored 29 goals (first) with an xG of 20.26 (first) and is looking by the far the best-attacking team in the league. Also, the Saints have conceded 13 goals (fifteenth) with an xGC of 12.1 (twelfth) so aren’t the tightest at the back. Thus with City facing Saints Erling Haaland can have another field day at the office and so can FPL managers if you make him the captain pick for game week 10.

Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspurs)

Harry Kane the England captain has been the most consistent player for Spurs throughout the campaign. He has delivered for the Spurs in almost every game till now.  Kane has been Spurs’ best player till now and he has almost 50% involvement in Spurs goals.

Kane has been a constant performer this season. His performance has gone unnoticed since Erling Haaland has become the new talking point in the premier league. Harry Kane has scored 7 goals in 8 premier league games. Also along with goals he has assisted twice and created chances for his teammates.

With Spurs having disappointed North London and then a more frustrating draw against Frankfurt in the Champions League. Kane will be eager to score and set the tone for the weekend. With Spurs facing Brighton Kane has a good chance of scoring and redeeming himself from last week’s misfortunes.

Top picks for FPL Forwards for game week 10

Anthony Martial (Manchester United)

This will be a slight surprise to some of the FPL managers. Martial has returned to the Premier League circuit with a bang after a long injury layoff. Martial was brought in the most difficult fixture of all time which is the Manchester Derby. Martial came on after the 60th-minute mark but had an instant impact. Martial was threatening Manchester City’s defence.

Martial eventually ends up scoring two goals in the derby and looks in fine touch. After that humiliating defeat, the derby might see some changes in the team from Ten Hag and Martial might get the nod ahead of Rashford in that CF role, or both Rashford and Martial play together.

Manchester United are facing struggling Everton in FPL game week 10. With United facing Everton and looking to respond as they did against another team from Liverpool in game week 3 then FPL managers can take the risk to include Martial he might turn out to be that x-factor player by the end of game week 10.
