Arsenal Transfer News: Bernd Leno Reaches A Verbal Agreement With Fulham

Arsenal Transfer News: Bernd Leno, a star player for Arsenal, and Fulham have reached a verbal agreement on a three-year deal. But the two London teams have not yet agreed on a transfer fee

Arsenal Transfer News: Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany says that Bernd Leno, the goalkeeper for Arsenal, has spoken with Fulham about a three-year deal with an option for a fourth year. The German goalkeeper is Marco Silva’s top choice. But the two clubs haven’t agreed on a transfer fee yet.

As Bernd Leno tries to get his career back on track, he is looking more and more likely to leave Arsenal. With the World Cup coming up in Qatar, he could only make Hansi Flick’s team if he played a lot.

Leno joined Arsenal in 2018. He replaced Petr Cech as the team’s top goalkeeper right away. He had three great seasons with the Gunners before Aaron Ramsdale joined the team last summer. The England international, who was bought for a lot of money, was put on the bench instead of the German.

Leno’s future at the club is set in stone, as several teams have said they want to sign him this summer.

Arsenal Transfer News: Leno is set to leave

Bayer Leverkusen and Hertha Berlin both wanted the goalkeeper. The German international was thinking about going back home. Benfica, a big club in Portugal, has also been talked about.

But Leno seems to have returned to Fulham’s interest now that he has lived in London for four years.

The Cottagers, who just got promoted to the Premier League, have been looking for a good goalkeeper, and Leno is one of the best choices they could have made.

Leno is said to have reached a verbal deal with Marco Silva’s team about a three-year contract that will last until 2025.

There is a chance that it could go on for another season. But it’s not clear who has the power to do that.

What’s next for Leno?

Fulham’s main goalkeeper goal was Leno. It looks like they’ve got their man. The Cottagers have been doing well in the transfer market lately. Getting a goalkeeper with experience in the Premier League will help them a lot in their quest to keep up with the top-flight competition.

Fulham and Arsenal have not yet come to a deal on how much the German will cost. Reports say that the Gunners want £10–11 million from the Cottagers because they don’t want to lose a goalkeeper who is just getting into his prime for a low price.

Leno’s chances of making the German team for the World Cup would improve if he moved to Fulham.
