Liverpool news: Roberto Firmino is currently among the most talented attackers in the Premier League.
The Brazil international joined the Reds from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in the summer transfer window of 2015. He has played 231 Premier League games for the Reds so far, scoring 71 goals and assisting 46 more.
Firmino has helped the Reds win one UEFA Champions League trophy, one English Premier League title, one EFL Cup, one FA Cup, one UEFA Super Cup and one FIFA Club World Cup. He won the Samba Gold award in 2018 and was also part of the UEFA Champions League Team of Season 2017-18.
His current contract at Anfield expires at the end of next season. According to the Mirror, the Reds are planning to hold talks over a new deal in the coming days.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Roberto Firmino will conduct talks over his future in the coming week.
Juventus have recently shown interest in signing him. The Serie A club is planning to offer £20 million to bring the Brazil international to the Allianz Stadium.
Liverpool’s lethal attacking trio of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, and Sadio Mane have already broken up. Mane agreed to join Bayern Munich earlier this window. The Reds are unlikely to let another attacker leave ahead of next season.
Meanwhile, Salah has recently signed a new three-year deal with the Reds. The Egypt international will earn £350,000 per week, making him the highest-paid player in the club’s history.
Harvey Elliot changes his shirt number
The Reds youngster Harvey Elliot has picked up a new shirt number ahead of the 2022-23 season. He will now wear No. 19 Jersey as opposed to No. 67 he donned since joining the Reds.
The England international expressed his delight after picking up his new shirt number. He said: “I think it was an opportunity to get down the ranks in terms of the numbers, and for me personally it’s a wonderful number.
Elliot is one of the most promising youngsters in English football. He joined the Reds from Fulham during the summer transfer window of 2019. The 19-year-old starlet has played 20 games in all competitions for the Reds thus far, scoring one goal.
