IPL 2022 LIVE: Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings are locking horns in the 11th match of IPL 2022. Chennai Super Kings skipper, Ravindra Jadeja won the toss and elected to bowl first. Dew is playing a crucial role in these matches, so the toss has become very important.

Batting first, Punjab Kings made an unsteady start. The first two wickets fell in quick succession when the team’s score read 14. However, there was no looking back after that. Punjab Kings learned from their mistakes and marched confidently forward since then.

The two batsmen, Shikhar Dhawan and Liam Livingstone mercilessly hammered the Punjab’s bowlers. They both amassed a quick 95 runs in the next 08 overs. As a result, they crossed 100 runs in the first 10 overs itself.

Wicket keeper Jitesh Sharma did give some assistance towards the end, but it was not enough. The failure of the middle order and tail ender batsmen put pressure on Liam Livingstone. Liam looked extremely good as he scored 60 runs in just 32 deliveries.

Liam seemed to play the lone warrior for Punjab Kings. His gallant innings enabled the team to post a total of 180 runs after the full quota of 20 overs. The team looked crossing the 200 run mark at one stage. However, it was not possible considering the brilliant bowling attack from the Punjab Kings.

Chris Jordan and Dwayne Pretorius were the pick of bowlers as they were extremely economical. Jordan conceded only 23 runs and took 2 crucial wickets. On the other hand, Pretorius gave him perfect company by bagging 02 wickets for 30 runs.

There was an unusual incident towards the end of Punjab Kings’s innings. Vaibhav Arora and Kagiso Rabada were on the crease while Dwayne Bravo was the bowler. In the final delivery, Bravo delivered a slower ball, and Vaibhav could not time it well. He tried to smash it but it went up in the air only to fall short of extra cover.

Umpire signaled the end of the over, and both Punjab Kings batsmen and Chennai Super Kings players started leaving the field. However, the broadcasters had only five balls displayed on board. There seemed to be some sort of confusion but then umpires’s decision was binding and final. It was one of the rarest occasions in which the broadcasters and the umpires were not in sync. This incident took no time to get viral in social media and has caused a major uproar.
