IPL 2022: Sarfaraz Khan Comes With A Big Statement Before The 15th Edition

IPL 2022: Sarfaraz Khan, a Mumbai batsman, believes he can succeed in white-ball cricket if someone is willing to believe in him. Sarfaraz was with Punjab Kings until the IPL 2021, where he only played two games and scored ducks in both innings, prompting the franchise to release him ahead of the auction.

Sarfaraz Khan, the new Delhi Capitals recruit, is looking forward to creating a mark in the upcoming IPL 2022 for his new side. The Capitals purchased the 24-year-old at the auction for a base price of INR 20 lakhs.

During his time with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Sarfaraz Ahmed drew notice for his unconventional shots behind the wicket, and the club was so impressed with him that he was retained along with top players Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers during the IPL 2018 mega auction.

IPL 2022: Sarfaraz Khans’ Performance In Ranji Trophy

IPL 2022: Sarfaraz Khan Came With A Statement Before The 15th Edition

In red-ball cricket, Mumbai’s Sarfaraz Khan has been in outstanding form. Sarfaraz has played nine games since returning to Mumbai from Uttar Pradesh and has a remarkable 1479 runs at an exceptional average of 147.90.

He’s also racked up five centuries, the best of which is a 301*. Sarfaraz Khan, formerly thought to be a white-ball specialist, defied his detractors by letting his bat do the talking in red-ball cricket. The teenager believes that it all comes down to confidence, and that if he is given faith, he would be able to deliver in the IPL as well.

He got off to a great start in the 2022 Ranji Trophy season with a 275 against Saurashtra. Sarfaraz Khan’s coach is none other than his father, Naushad Khan.

Sarfaraz Khan believes that listening to other trainers could compromise his technical abilities. In his last game, Sarfaraz scored 165 against Odisha as Mumbai defeated them by an innings and 108 runs in Ahmedabad.

“What do I ask? Should I ask someone who has known me since I was a kid or someone who has seen me for two days? I don’t ask much because I don’t want it to play on my mind if someone tells me to do this or that. Someone who brought me into this world… Only a family doctor can tell you what the problem is. When I was 10 or 12, Dad would tell me: ‘listen to everyone but do as I say.’ I listen only to him.”

IPL 2022: Sarfaraz Needs Some Motivation Or Wants Some Believes In Him

Sarfaraz Khan, a 24-year-old Indian cricketer, will play for a new club in the upcoming Indian Premier League season.

“I can do better if someone gives me that confidence and has faith in me. It is the same when no one thought I could play red ball, but I knew I could if I got the opportunity, because I had been working for four-five years on my red-ball game. Similarly, the day will come when I will score in the IPL too.”

Sarfaraz Naushad Khan is an Indian cricketer who currently represents Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy and Delhi Capitals in the IPL. In 2014 and 2016, Sarfaraz represented India in the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He is a part-time spinner and an aggressive right-handed batsman.
