Ever since taking over the reins of management from the fired Nuno Espirito Santo, Conte seems to have brought a sense of calm and composure to their method. The Italian has given them a new lease of life.
Spurs’ most prized asset, Harry Kane, has urged his teammates to take full advantage of the Italian’s appointment. The last time Harry Kane and Spurs finished in the Top-4 in the league was under Mauricio Pochettino in 2019. In the 2018/19 season, they also made their maiden UEFA Champions League final.
However, since then, the level at the club has dropped off considerably, which Kane wants to change now. In an interview with Sky Sports, he spoke very highly of Antonio Conte and his training methods.
“He’s one of the best managers in the world. We’ve not really reached the heights we’ve wanted to as a club over the last couple of years. It’s a big opportunity now to take advantage of what we’ve got,” said Kane of the Italian mastermind.
“He’s a manager that demands a lot. He’s doing everything he can and as players, we’ve responded really well to him. Everyone’s working as hard as possible to get success. That’s the ultimate goal for everyone here at the club.”

Harry Kane, whose own future at the club was up in the air at the start of the season, looks very focussed on the job at hand. Kane was eventually tied down to the club, despite strong interest from fellow Premier League rivals, Manchester City. The English striker rallied behind Conte and is determined to achieve their goal of a Champions League finish this season.
Under Jose Mourinho, they finished 6th and 7th respectively in consecutive seasons despite having a star-studded squad. With the appointment of Antonio Conte, hope around the club is all of that will change, and they will once again have a rosy period ahead of them.
They have started on the right path and are on track for a Top-4 finish this time around. Spurs are unbeaten in 9 Premier League matches ever since Conte came in.
With three matches in hand over 4th placed West Ham, Spurs are only 1 point off them at the moment. A thrilling 3-2 victory against Leicester City showed the spirit which Conte has been able to instil among the players even this early into his role.
They came back from 1-2 down to dramatically score 2 goals in the final two minutes of extra time. Steven Bergwijn’s brace at the end has given Conte and his side further motivation.
However, things will only get tougher for Antonio Conte and co. as their next match is against the reigning European champions. Tottenham Hotspur takes on Chelsea this weekend and a positive result will only magnify Conte’s stature as a manager and make them a serious contender for the Top-4 spot.
