Chelsea to miss out on the trophy? Fans to miss live Ronaldo return

FIFA World Cup European qualifiers are ongoing in Europe and the club football will resume next week in England. Before matchday 4, Premier League teams Manchester United and Chelsea got few concerns ahead of the fixtures.

According to the latest updates from England, Chelsea’s concern is about the scheduled FIFA Club World Cup. The European champions are targeting another trophy from the season and that is facing a kind of uncertainty now.

The FIFA Club World Cup is scheduled to take place in the month of December in Japan. But Covid-19 situation in Japan is the major concern for FIFA and the tournament will be shifted to another destination according to the latest updates.

Japan is struggling to fight the pandemic and the slow vaccination roll-out is making the situation worse. Meanwhile, the resignation of the Prime Minister will make Japanese politics unstable for the coming months. Also, the new leadership is unlikely to allow sporting events that attract more outsiders to the country.

The Club World Cup is expected to take Qatar as host for the third consecutive year. Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich lifted the trophy in February after the successful run in Europe.

The current uncertainty with Japan is after the Events of the Olympics and the Paralympics. Both events denied the spectators at the venues and another major event in the month of December will send the country to another complex situation. Meanwhile, FIFA wants the fans to attend their flagship event.

Brits to miss Ronaldo’s relaunch at Manchester United:

Cristiano Ronaldo is back in the UK after the international duty with Portugal. The 36-year-old took a suspension after the game against the Republic of Ireland for the late goal celebration by taking off his jersey.

Ronaldo will join the United squad and is expected to start the Newcastle United fixture at Old Trafford. “I moved from Juve now to Manchester, it’s a new chapter, I’m so happy and glad, and I want to carry on again, to make history, to try to help Manchester achieve great results, to win trophies and number one of them, to win great things,” Ronaldo said. Meanwhile, the broadcasting giants Sky Sports and BT Sport have not requested to change their televised matches this month to show Cristiano Ronaldo’s second Man United debut.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports announced that they will stream the match through their website and Youtube channel. Fans don’t have to wait for the highlights in that case. Several broadcasters are looking forward to the Old Trafford clash even though they are not about Ronaldo’s start.

There are more updates from Premier League prior to the matchday 4 action. The takeover of West Ham United is the new discussion in London. The high-profile bidders for the club, PAI Capital are waiting for the final word from the current team ownership.

The summer transfer window witnessed a number of thrilling switches. But, some of the expected deals didn’t happen in the window. Also, family agents of the players didn’t make enough from the market as the professional agencies snatched the stage.
