Yuzvendra Chahal has been an important spin weapon for Team India for a long time now. The leg-spinner has time and again weaved the magic in crunch situations and got crucial wickets when it mattered the most.
Chahal was last seen in cricketing action in the Indian Premier League playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He bowled really well for RCB in the last season, taking 21 wickets in 15 games.
Talking about his performance this season, he played 7 games for the franchise. The leg-spinner took 4 wickets to his name. Chahal who has been a part of RCB since 2014 went on to take 23 and 21 wickets in the IPL 2015 and 2016 season.
The leg-spinner is also the first Indian bowler to have bagged a five-wicket haul in T20Is. For the unversed, Chahal made his international debut in 2016 during India’s tour of Zimbabwe.
The selectors once again experimented with the spinner by giving him another opportunity. Chahal played against England in T20Is and he grabbed the opportunity in both hands.
Since then, he went on to carve out a reputation for himself as a bowler who beats the batsman with his superb bowling variations. He has been Virat Kohli’s go-to-man in limited-overs cricket.

Chahal is currently in Mumbai with Team India. Shikhar Dhawan who is the captain of the second-string side will lead his troops from the front during the team’s tour of Sri Lanka next month.
India will play three ODIs followed by three T20Is. Yuzvendra Chahal who is part of the team will be looking forward to performing well. The T20 World Cup is soon approaching, and if he is to earn a spot in the team, he must do well during this tour.
