Indian fast bowler Avesh Khan reveals about Rishabh Pant’s assistance in taking down MS Dhoni’s wicket in this season of IPL. The fast bowler had a good start to the season with the ball for his franchise from Delhi.
However, the season couldn’t carry-on due to on-going coronavirus pandemic across the globe. BCCI decided to stop the tournament with immediate effect after several players and staffs tested positive for COVID-19 amidst bio-bubble environment.
Kolkata Knight Rider’s mystery spinner Varun Chakravarty was the first one to test positive for the coronavirus, after breaching bio-bubble rules as per reports. Soon after, many players and staffs tested positive for the same from other franchisees as well. This paved way for the disruption of tourney in the middle.
Although, Delhi Capitals had a good start to their campaign this term and still the table toppers with 12 points. However, Chennai Super Kings have played a game less then Delhi Capitals and has just two losses in their belt.

Avesh Khan’s impressive performance against CSK
The 24-year-old had a night to remember in the match against Chennai Super Kings this season. He sent back MS And Faf du Plessis for a duck in a tight game. Capitals’ skipper Rishabh Pant did back the bowler inspite of Rabada’s absence.
Avesh recently spoke to the Indian Express, about how Rishabh Pant helped him in dismissing MS Dhoni. He told, “Only a few overs were left, and Pant knew Dhoni would try to hit out. But he also knew that Dhoni was playing after a gap of four months, and it won’t be easy for him. Pant told me to bowl just short of a length. I did just that. Dhoni tried to hit, but got an inside edge and was bowled.”
The Capitals pacer executed his plans well by bowling back-of-a-length delivery to Dhoni. The veteran batsmen tried to play it on the leg side, but got an under-edge which rammed the stumps. Pant has helped him in various similair occasions as well this season with signals behind the stumps.
He added, “When I was about to start my bowling run-up, I used to look at Pant. At that moment, the batsman is watching only me, and not anyone else. So, if Pant wants me to bowl a yorker, we have a sign for that. If he wants me to bowl wide outside off, I knew from his sign.”
