Ben Stokes gets trolled by a female journalist on Vaughan tweet

England all-rounder Ben Stokes had a dismal day in the office. He neither made an impact with the bat nor with the ball. As if this wasn’t enough, he didn’t field properly during the second T20I against Team India in Sunday’s encounter.

Earlier, Indian captain, Virat Kohli got lucky during the toss. He won the toss and decided to bowl first at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. India’s fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar provided an early breakthrough as he dismissed Jos Buttler for a duck.

Buttler was dismissed leg before wicket. After that, Jason Roy and Dawid Malan took the bowling attack to the cleaners by adding a 63-run stand for the second wicket. Malan (24) was dismissed leg before wicket off Yuzvendra Chahal.

After that, England lost stability while adding value to the scoreboard. Roy was the best batsman of the game once again as he chipped in with 46 off 35 balls including 4 fours and 2 sixes. Washington Sundar and Shardul Thakur took 2 wickets apiece.

Meanwhile, Ben Stokes managed to score 24 off 21 balls including 1 boundary. He found it really hard to add runs in the fag end of the overs. Shardul Thakur who dismissed England captain Eoin Morgan for 28, got rid of Stokes for 24.

Ben Stokes gets trolled on Twitter

Former England captain Michael Vaughan once again irked the Indians on Twitter. The full-time pundit who has made it a habit of trolling the Indian players once again decided to target them. This time around, he spoke about India’s shoddy fielding show in his tweet.

But that was not the end of the story. On the other hand, a female journalist by the name of Chloe-Amanda Bailey decided to reply in style. She waited till the end of the second innings in order to give a perfect response to the former England captain.

In the wake of India’s fielding performance, Vaughan said he wants to invite the Indian players to join his fielding academy. “I am inviting all the Indian Team to join my Fielding academy … it’s a very exclusive club … #INDvENG,” Vaughan wrote.

Chloe-Amanda Bailey wrote: “Lol Ben Stokes” in response to Vaughan’s tweet. The female journalist named Ben Stokes as an example as the all-rounder failed to take a regulation catch of Ishan Kishan. The tweet went viral in no time on social media.

Meanwhile, fans also decided to have a go at Michael Vaughan for posting this sort of tweet. One of the trolls said: “Dear Vaughan, we will see our internal matters. Please first make sure your team ready with good fielding.”

India level the T20I series 1-1

Team India restricted England to 164/6 in 20 overs. In reply, Sam Curran dismissed KL Rahul for a duck. However, the debutant Ishan Kishan and Indian captain Virat Kohli added a 94-run stand for the second wicket.

The debutant scored his maiden half-century in style. He scored 56 off 32 balls including 5 fours and 4 sixes at a strike-rate of 175. Adil Rashid and Chris Jordan dismissed Kishan and Pant. But Kohli scored an unbeaten 73 off 49 (5 fours, 3 sixes) and helped India level the series.
