Manchester United trying to steal the deal from Jose Mourinho

Manchester United are looking at various alternatives to boost their squad.

Manchester United are scouting the transfer market to add quality players to their squad. The team needs an infusion of some offensive talent in their ranks. Jadon Sancho was one of the priorities for United. But it looks like they will have to give up his pursuit for the time being.

Dortmund always has been a hard negotiator. They are asking for a price of £108million (€120m) for the winger and United are not willing to pay that much. So the deal is stuck for now.

Ole Gunner Solskjaer has also shown interest in Douglas Costa and Kingsley Coman. However, Costa has had many problems with injuries in this campaign. Whereas Coman wants to stay and fight for his spot despite the arrival of Leroy Sane.

Manchester United turn their eyes to David Brooks.

But a lucrative deal might just be enough to persuade either of the two clubs. However United are focusing their attention on someone else as of now. Bournemouth’s David Brooks have popped up as a target.

Brooks has had a pretty disappointing year as he was on the sidelines for most of the time period due to his injury. But the season before that he was a stand out performer for Bournemouth. This has also earned him interest from the top clubs in the land.

David Brooks plays as a right-winger and would match United’s current needs. However, Tottenham are also very interested in him. United will have to act swiftly to secure a move for him.

United and Tottenham to fight it out for Brooks

Bournemouth would let Brooks go if Manchester United fork out the right amount.

Bournemouth as a club does not pose many problems in selling their players if the price is right. The sale of Nathan Ake and Aaron Ramsdale has made that much clear. Tottenham was showing interest in Brooks.

But they are considering spending 40 million on Brooks as it would limit their other pursuits. United can swoop in with a bid for Brooks and secure a quick deal just like City did for Ake. Brooks had 7 goals and 5 assists in the season prior to his injury. According to the Daily Star Bournemouth might let Brooks go.

“We as a football club have got a value of what we believe for our players,” Eddie Howe’s replacement Jason Tindall said.”And if that value is met then players have got the opportunity to then discuss with whoever they need to discuss with and then make the decision they feel is right for them.

“But first and foremost, it needs to be right for the football club and once it’s right for the football club then, as you’ve seen in the past, I don’t think it’s a club that will stand in anybody’s way providing that the club’s happy with and it meets the valuation of the player.”

For someone like Brooks, a move to Old Trafford would be very tempting. Bournemouth has already been relegated and Brooks has a desire to play in the Premier League.

Should Manchester United match Bournemouth’s price tag they will not have an issue in letting him go. Brooks himself would be eager to become a part of Ole’s project. He can be an exciting addition to the United team.
