Chelsea has recently activated the Werner buyout clause. Michy Batshuayi’s future remains unsure at Chelsea.

26-year-old Batshuayi joined Chelsea in 2016 from League 1 side Marseille. After that, the player didn’t stay Stamford Bridge with proper continuity. He took several seasons loan outs and played for other teams in the top flight. This includes the visits to Borussia Dortmund in Germany and Valencia in Spain. Last season only the star returned from a loan spell in Crystal Palace.

Lack of Playing Time at Chelsea

In 2019, Batshuayi stayed in Stamford Bridge in hope of a spot in the first team. Although, he got only 25 games this season from which he finds 8 goals and 5 assists. The center-forward’s contract with Blues will end up next summer and according to Express, Chelsea is looking to offload the player in this window.

Also, the reports bringing up a figure of £40m as asking price for the star from Chelsea. West Ham United is interested in the player’s service and Chelsea might be taking a deal this summer. But, the price tag is too ambitious which is almost double the current market value of the player.

Meanwhile, in North London, Arsenal is facing challenges in its attacking line for next season. The hardworking duo of Arteta, Aubameyand, and Lacazette is showing signs of an exit from Emirates by the end of the season. Arteta is looking for replacements in the summer transfer market and yet to finalize one.

Also, the wishlist of Spaniard includes certain big names but the lack of enough funda in Gunners camp will affect the decisions. As per the updates of Just Arsenal, Gunners are aiming Batshuayi for summer. Arteta can add some attacking fires in the frontline by purchasing the ‘batman’ from Stamford Bridge. Also, he is effective in speedy encounters in the striking positions which will show some Aubameyang works in the Emirates stadium.

Meanwhile, the price tag is again an issue for the proposal. Arsenal can’t take the burden of £40m for a second option striker. They will go for a minimum figure by negotiating with Chelsea management and possibly reach an affordable range. The current financial outburst of the football market has made every club thriving of enough funds. Arsenal is expecting funds from outgoing stars to fix the pal s for incoming options.

Moreover, Lampard is not yet confirmed the offloading of the player. The boss could deal with veterans like Willian and Pedro prior to this. Both of the players are out of contract and maybe the boss will deny more additions to the frontline. The current options are enough for Lampard to start a new season and if that is the decision, Batshuayi will stay in West London. Then he can supplement the attacking department with experiences and guidance.
