FC Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde could sign these top free agents at zero cost this summer. It can boost their objectives of this season

FC Barcelona is looking to boost their campaign as they look to further strengthen their squad in January. Barcelona have to also sell players as per fair play rules.

FC Barcelona are eyeing to bring back Neymar from PSG, while Valverde can sign other players for zero cost instead. Let’s take a look at players that Valverde could sign this summer.

1. Christian Eriksen

FC Barcelona have denied interest on signing the Denmark international in the past but could be tempted if he becomes a free Agent at end of the campaign.

The Denmark international could allow Lionel Messi to move up top alongside Antoine Griezmann, playing behind the duo.

Eriksen will also be able to drop deep to help his fellow midfielders Busquests and De Jong.

2.Willian

The Brazilian winger has been a long-time target for Barcelona. The Catalan giants will now get an opportunity to land in Willian this summer. The Chelsea star’s contract ends up at end of this season, and Barcelona might seal the deal.

However, Chelsea are keen to extend Willian’s contract to make him stay at Stamford Bridge. Willian’s presence at the right-wing for Valverde will be something useful with Messi and Suarez upfront.

3.Edinson Cavani

Another player to become a free agent and in Barcelona’s radar is PSG star Edinson Cavani. Considering the fact that Luis Suarez has lost his prime and could depart this Summer, Cavani is the right man.

Cavani has the capability to play at wings and he initially played as a winger at PSG. He wasn’t a regular scorer from the flanks but he’s a deadly weapon any day to have in your side.

Putting the PSG star on the wing would allow Barcelona to play Antoine Griezmann and Messi up top. And it would give them another dimension amid their quest to win every trophy available.

How could they lineup?

If Barcelona goes out for these three free agents in Summer, they would need to do some tinkering to their formation.

Valverde could play three centre-backs: Gerard Pique, Samuel Umtiti and Lenglet at the back. Eriksen to be played up front creating chances for Leo Messi and Greizmann.

Willian and Cavani could play on the wings, with De Jong and Busquets pulling the strings in the middle. This will be a perfect formation for the Catalans but will it happen? Only time will tell.
