Hardik Pandya showed why exactly India were missing him in the playing XI against New Zealand as he made a stunning comeback to the ODI side with a brilliant effort on the field. The all-rounder took a blinder to dismiss New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson and get India an important breakthrough at a crucial juncture in the match.  Willaimson was settling down well and had started to look dangerous but Yuzvendra Chahal and Pandya combined to end his stay in the middle. 

In the 17th over of the New Zealand innings, Williamson came down the track looking to go after the bowler and ended up playing a flick shot in the air. The New Zealand skipper played it straight towards Pandya, who was standing at the mid-wicket region as he literally flew towards his left to pluck a stunner out of thin air and ensure Williamson was back in the hut
