Barcelona to sign another Fantastic Loan Deal of A Striker

Barcelona remains the favourites to lift the La Liga title but they look to cover all bases to mount a significant challenge in the Champions League as well.

Ernesto Valverde’s side are already 5 points clear of their nearest competition in the league. And a further 5 away from their perennial rivals Real Madrid. But Barcelona are not in a mood to relax just yet. With eyes firmly on European glory, they are willing to bring in reinforcements from the MLS. The American League plays host for a lot of ageing strikers but the Catalans have their eyes on a certain Mexican for Los Angeles.

Carlos Vela back to La Liga?

Spanish outlet Sport reported on Friday that Barcelona had an agreement in place to bring in Carlos Vela on loan for the rest of the season. The report further states that Barca have the chance to make Vela’s move permanent should they wish. With Munir El-Haddadi moving to Sevilla, Barcelona are interested in LAFC’s Vela to replace him.

Later in the day, ESPN Deportes reported that LAFC have agreed to loan Vela to Barcelona for the rest of the 2018-19 season. Los Angeles FC would be willing to lend the striker as long as he prioritizes his return to MLS at the end of the loan stint. Other options the club are reportedly considering include Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata and West Ham’s Javier Hernandez.
