There’s no secret that Chelsea don’t have goal scoring striker. Alvaro Morata is still lacking confidence. Giroud is also isn’t a 20 goals scoring striker. The situation has led to Maurizio Sarri looking for a striker in January. The likes of Higuain and Icardi all are linked with a move to Stamford, but it seems Chelsea have won the race to sign this Bundesliga star.

Chelsea are set to sign Christian Pulisic ahead of Liverpool after the Borussia Dortmund attacker decided he wants to join Maurizio Sarri’s side, reports say. Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp have been chasing Pulisic for several years. However, the American is seemingly available after deciding against extending his stay at Dortmund. Pulisic wants to move on. And Dortmund are poised to cash in on the 20-year-old before his contract runs out in 2020. Manchester United have also been linked with a move for Pulisic. It seems they and Liverpool will miss out on the chance to sign the youngster.

The Daily Mail claim Chelsea have won the race for Pulisic. An announcement could be confirmed next month ahead of a summer switch. However, a transfer fee is yet to be agreed between Dortmund and Chelsea. But the deal is expected to be worth around £60million. The 20-year-old American has indicated that he wants to join Chelsea in a deal worth around £60million next summer and it could be confirmed as early as next month.

Pulisic’s arrival will raise further doubts over the future of 18-year-old Callum Hudson-Odoi. Odoi is being pursued by Bayern Munich and whose contract ends in 2020. Hudson-Odoi is the brightest hope from the much-vaunted Chelsea academy but has seen his pathway to the first team blocked.

If Pulisic is arriving it means, Eden Hazard could be on his way out next summer. Sarri wants to keep Pedro and Willian so it means the Belgian could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge. Even Odoi could be out of Chelsea’s squad. The 18 year old represents a bright future for Chelsea but it seems he might leave Sarri’s side in order to get more minutes on field.
