Liverpool host Manchester United at Anfield in what is all set to be one of the games of the season so far
Both clubs have had contrasting seasons so far. Liverpool occupy the second spot with 42 points. They are 2 points behind Manchester City who have played one game more. Manchester United, on the other hand, are languishing in the sixth spot with 26 points so far. Liverpool are yet to be beaten in the league so far while the Red Devils have already tasted defeat on 4 occasions. A victory tonight will see Liverpool leapfrog Manchester city and reclaim the top spot with a slender one-point gap. Meanwhile, a victory for Manchester United will help them keep pace with the top four. Former Manchester United star Paul Ince talked about how Mourinho will cope with this Liverpool side.
“It depends how he’s feeling and what he’s taken from recent games,” Ince exclusively told Express Sport. What he often does is go back to type and tries not to get beaten.
“He’ll want one or two moments where they can get a goal and then hold on. We’ve got to understand, what’s more important the performance or result?
Manchester United fans don’t want to go to Anfield and sit back and defend. Liverpool have got the players who can open you up.
It depends what mood Mourinho is in and how he feels about the team.
What we’re seeing now is Liverpool are scoring goals at will.
Mourinho is probably thinking: ‘I don’t want to go there and by three or four’ because Liverpool can do that to teams.”
