Jose Mourinho and Xabi Alonso reunion at Real Madrid on cards

According to many reports, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez aiming to bring Jose Mourinho as Head coach and ex-Real Madrid Midfielder Xabi Alonso as assistant to the Portuguese tactician.

Real Madrid’s President Florentino Perez is already onto his second appointment since Zinedine Zidane stepped down at the end of last season after ex Spain coach Julen Lopetegui was sacked in October. His replacement Santiago Solari, Real Madrid’s youth team coach has been handed a two-and-a-half-year deal, but there are no guarantees he will remain beyond the end of the season because the reigning European champions have been below par in the Spanish league this season.

Jose Mourinho is emerging as a potential contender to take charge of Spanish giants if their poor run continues in Laliga. The former Real manager led the team between 2010 and 2013, winning one La Liga title and the Copa del Rey during his spell. The under-fire 55-year-old is aware of interest from Perez to take him back to the Real Madrid and is open to a return. It can save Mourinho from his Manchester United’s misery as his team is more points closer to the relegation than to 1st place Man City. Currently Manchester United is at 8th position in Premier League and United boss is hanging on by a thread at Old Trafford.
