Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has now revealed a move away to Juventus could be on the cards in near future with his brother already plying trade in the Serie A
Striker Lukaku has hinted about his move away from Manchester United. The 25-year-old striker Lukaku has contracted with Manchester United in the summer of 2017 until June 2022 is said to be frustrated with his time in United and also with the club manager Jose Mourinho and has received much criticism lately as he hasn’t been able to find a good run of form while being able to get only four in total eleven appearances.
Lukaku has been among a number of players to feel frustrated under the manager Jose Mourinho.
When Lukaku was asked whether he would be interested in moving to Serie A he said ‘yes’. When asked by La Gazzetta dello Sport if he would make a move to Italy he replied, “Why not? I hope it happens.”
He also talked about his love for Juventus and the players.
Lukaku quoted, “Juventus have a great project in place and they just keep going. They have got a great coach on the bench and they have the extraordinary players in every area of the field. Every year they try to become stronger and better. Juventus without any doubt is one of the two-three best teams in Europe.
“Cristiano Ronaldo stands out of the crowd but we should also watch out for the others. Paulo Dybala is getting stronger and more impressive while I love Douglas Costa,” he further added.
Author’s Take:
Romelu Lukaku is the only viable option at centre-forward for Manchester United. The Belgian’s form drops off a cliff whenever he dons the Red of united. However, he still remains an integral part of Mourinho’s plans. Safe to say that a departure is not on the cards in the No.9’s near future.
