The Serie A giants are known for their cunningness in the transfer window and have managed to capture yet another bargain, but this time it’s a highly coveted Barcelona youngster.
Barcelona has struggled to keep their best stars at La Masia, despite being one of the biggest clubs in the world. Many have opted to leave the Camp Nou for brighter prospects and the ones that stayed at the club, have not turned out the way they should have in recent years. Players like Hector Bellerin, Thiago Alcantara, and many others have become world class stars, with La Masia struggling to reproduce it’s once brilliant youth academy.
Now it looks like, yet another star has opted to leave Barcelona for a better life, with Juventus signing the coveted striker in what has been considered to be the bargain of the 2018/19 summer transfer window. The 16-year-old prodigy signed with the Old Lady yesterday with the Serie A giants spending only €700k for Pablo Moreno, who joined Barcelona five years ago in the hopes of achieving great things.
However, five years on and the starlet has gone on to score over 200 goals in their youth setup and slowly became a highly rated striker with Premier League sides like Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham and even Serie A clubs after his signature.
But Juventus was first to the punch and in doing so secured a star for the future, and also someone Barcelona most certainly wouldn’t want to lose. The 16-year-old former Granada star has grown during his time at La Masia, and while he certainly boasts great pace and strengthen, his finishing ability and ability to create chances for his teammates has improved over the years.
While Moreno does join the Juventus youth team for the moment, the Serie A giants do value the youngster and have thus added a €3 million release clause in his contract. Not only that according to further reports, the club has promised Moreno first-team football very soon.

A brilliant transfer coup by Juventus, especially after increasing their market profile by signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid earlier in July. The Barcelona starlet is certainly one for the future and if he continues to improve, Moreno can certainly become a lethal finisher and make Barcelona rue the day they let him go.
