Real Madrid are eyeing this Liverpool sensation, but his transfer solely depends on whether manager Zidane continues next season, as he otherwise vetoes the move
Manager Zidane Zidane can feel the sword of Damocles hanging over his head. The Frenchman likely faces a sack if ended trophlyess. One such is in the strike department where Bale and Benzema have struggled mightily. There are rumors of one of them, or even both, heading through the exit doors in the summer. Either way, Los Blancos seems to have found a solution in Liverpool sensation, Mohamed Salah. The club has reportedly sounded their interest him, but launching an official bid depends of whether Zidane continues next season.
The Egyptian ace has taken the Premier League by storm upon arriving, netting 31 times – 42 overall. Past Sunday, he was even bestowed with the PFA Player of the Year award too. Such has been the impact he’s made in his maiden campaign with the Reds.
This has naturally attracted attention from the mightier quarters of Europe. And Madrid appears to be the front-runners. On current evidence, Salah can be a huge upswing on Benzema, who’s struggled to find his scoring boots this term. A return of just 9 goals in 39 appearances in all competitions has set the alarm bells ringing. The Liverpool striker then, would more than just replace him.

However, the stumbling block here seems to be Zidane, who apparently vetoes the move. He’s instead, interested in Chelsea’s Eden Hazard, another player Real have long admired. However, with Salah upstaging everyone else, that’s where their renewed interests lie. And this conflict of interests has left the club in a dilemma.
Hazard, on his part, hasn’t had a great season. Even by his own standards. But that has done little to dissipate the head-honcho’s admiration in him. But there also rumors that Real are undeterred by it, and even if Zidane were to stay put beyond the season, they’d pursue Salah.

In actuality, Liverpool wouldn’t let their prized asset go after just one season. He fits so well in Klopp’s system that the club would keep him for a few more seasons at least. As he’s also pivotal to their title hopes in the coming years. Real Madrid have a record of succeeding in acquiring players of their choice, but this seems more iffy than certain.
