Barcelona star striker Luis Suarez has asked the club not to sign Antoine Griezmann or he will leave the club.
Barcelona’s star Striker Luis Suarez has not had a great start to the current campaign, with only seven goals in this year. The numbers have not quite added up in the way that Ernesto Valverde would have expected from the Uruguayan striker. In the 12 games that Barcelona have played this season, the Uruguayan has been seen ripping his shirt off, while also getting angry at the referees a tad more than he did in the previous seasons.
However, his irregularity in front of the goal has irked not only the management but also the fans. According to latest reports from Diario Gol, Josep Maria Bartomeu have looked at the varying striking options for the club. As per the reports, Antoine Greizmann has emerged as the prime target for the club, with some reports even going to the extent of suggesting that the striker has signed a contract with the club.
Suarez’s ultimatum coupled with Greizmann’s future:
In response to this news, the report suggested that Suarez has issued an ultimatum to the club, asking the club to stop the operations if they don’t want to see the exit of the striker. Messi has been single-handedly pulling the club out of some irksome positions thus far in the season. Paco Alcacer, who has replaced the summer recruit Deulofeu on the wing has started to show signs of quality but despite that Barcelona still haven’t yet managed to replace Neymar’s absence.
However, Suarez’s form has been a dangerous thing for the club. A solution has been found out by the club president as he has signed a pre-contract agreement with the Atletico Madrid striker. Antoine Greizmann has been in sublime form at the Spanish capital since his arrival from Spanish club Real Sociedad. Following his arrival, the striker has scored 90 goals in all competitions for the club while also shining with the national team in Europe.

There has been a dip in form for the French striker too, but he has shown signs of improvement and has already started playing back at the level which he was known for. The commitment that Greizmann has shown will definitely be one of the top reasons that the Camp Nou club is after him during the transfer window.

It looks like a far-fetched story as Antoine Greizmann always has pointed at Manchester United as his next possible club. Greizmann’s purchase would also mean that Luis Suarez would be sent out of the club, which is highly doubtful. A striker with some deadly instincts, would not be shown the exit door only after one bad season.
However, the rumor mill has already churned out information that suggests that the Atletico Madrid forward has already found a home in Camp Nou.
