Reports suggest that Premier League giants Arsenal are hoping to sign Goncalo Guedes at the end of the current campaign from former Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.
Arsene Wenger has always been the type of manager that loves to bring in quality youngsters and is now looking at the 21-year-old Portugal international as a potential target for his squad at the Emirates.
The player who moved to the Parc des Princes for a fee of £26m back in January this year, has been sent out of loan to La Liga Giants Valencia.
With the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil possibly set to leave North London next summer, it will be up to the French manager to look for alternatives for his top stars. Due to this, he might be considering getting in a few good players to fill in the void left by the duo’s departure.
The attacker has made 11 league appearances in Spain so far, scoring thrice, which has caught the attention of the north London giants who are looking to challenge for some major titles.
Wenger has been trying his best to get the right kind of combination, though things have not really worked out for him so far and it seems that some young, fresh blood could be the solution to his problems now.
The player is still quite young and if Wenger takes him under his wing quite early, he could be developed into a top star if he is able to quickly fit into the style of football in England.
A loss to Manchester United, a draw against Southampton and now West Ham means that the title race is all but over for the Londoners, who have once again been really inconsistent. Manchester City look “invincible” this term and the title seems to be all but theirs already, unless some of the other sides can really put up a fight. However, it does seem that Arsenal’s best hope will now be finishing in the top four and earning a Champions League spot instead.
