Fantasy Premier League ‘Differentials’ for Gameweek 13

The @FPLGeneral looks at five players who have less than 5% ownership in Fantasy Premier League. They can help you shoot up the FPL rankings and also win you the cash in our GW13 Premier League contests.

Chris Smalling (Manchester United)

FPL Ownership – 2.8%

With Phil Jones ruled out through injury, Smalling is nailed on at the heart of the United defence for the time being. He’s started the last 6 league matches and scored his first goal of the season in GW12. Jose Mourinho’s side have kept 8 clean sheets in 12 Premier League games so far and should register another at home to Brighton on Saturday.

Callum Wilson – (Bournemouth)

FPL Ownership – 1.8%

Only Chelsea’s Eden Hazard scored more Fantasy Premier League points than Callum Wilson in GW12. A hat trick against Huddersfield in Bournemouth’s 4-0 win has alerted fantasy managers. Wilson will be confident of more joy in front of goal against a Swansea side who have lost their last 4 games.

Shkodran Mustafi – (Arsenal)

FPL Ownership – 1.7%

The German scored the opener in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over North London rivals Tottenham in GW12. In the 6 games he’s started this season, the Gunners have kept 5 clean sheets. They are stronger defensively when he plays.

An away tie against Burnley this weekend offers a good chance of clean sheet points. The Clarets are having a great season (7th in the league) but they have scored just 12 goals in 12 games. Mustafi registered 2 goals and 2 assists in 2016/17.

Alexis Sanchez – (Arsenal)

FPL Ownership – 2.7%

We enter GW13 and Alexis Sanchez remains a differential. If there’s one player who can fire you up the FPL rankings if you’re chasing, it’s the Chilean. Now might be the time to put your faith in him if you are having a tough season. He scored against Spurs and faces Burnley & Huddersfield next. It’s easy to forget that he scored 24 goals and provided 11 assists last season.

Vincent Kompany – (Manchester City)

FPL Ownership – 2.1%

The Belgian returned from yet another injury layoff in GW12 and helped City register another clean sheet. Only Manchester United have kept more clean sheets this season and with John Stones ruled out until the new year, Kompany is now a viable option. You’d fancy Guardiola’s charges to keep Huddersfield scoreless on Sunday. He’s got goals in him as well, he scored 3 times in 2016/17 despite managing just 820 minutes of football.

Think you can beat the General? You can pit your wits against him by entering Saturday’s £500 guaranteed Premier League contest!
