Game week two in Fantasy Premier League is done and dusted, here are the weekends top performers. Keep them in mind when choosing your GW3 team.
Goalkeeper
Jack Butland (Stoke)
Butland played a huge role in Stoke’s impressive 1-0 win over Arsenal. He made numerous saves to keep the Gunners at bay on his way to registering a clean sheet.
Defenders
Harry Maguire (Leicester)
Maguire is a man-mountain. He got himself on the score sheet and bagged himself the clean sheet points as well. There will be more goals from him this season that’s for sure.
Eric Bailly (Manchester United)
The Frenchman scored his first United goal and helped the Red Devils to keep their second consecutive clean sheet.
Marcos Alonso (Chelsea)
Alonso spends more time in attack than he does in defence. He scored both goals in Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Spurs. He’s the dream defender for fantasy managers – he attacks, takes free kicks and picks up clean sheets.
Midfielders
Riyad Mahrez (Leicester)
Mahrez is reproducing his form from Leicester’s title-winning season. He registered two assists against Brighton to add to the one he got against Arsenal in GW1. Will he stay at the club though?…
Paul Pogba (Manchester United)
Another stellar performance from Pogba – a goal and two assists against Swansea. The signing of Nemanja Matic has freed him to play with more freedom in attack and Fantasy Premier League managers are reaping the benefits.
Aaron Mooy (Huddersfield)
The Australian was the match-winner as the Terriers beat fellow newcomers Newcastle 1-0. He scored a beautiful goal from the edge of the box. He’s also on set pieces which makes him a very attractive fantasy option.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan (Manchester United)
The Armenian registered one assist in 2016/17. He’s got four in two games already this season. He’s a must have in your Sportito XI for GW3 given his impressive form.
Forwards
Richarlison (Watford)
The young Brazilian has caught the eye in the opening two gameweek’s with a goal and an assist. He’s also attempted 8 shots. He ones to keep a close eye on over the next few weeks.
Jese (Stoke)
Jese arrived in style to the Premier League with the winner in Stoke’s victory over Arsenal. Can he do it consistently?
Chicharito (West Ham)
The ‘Little Pea’ reminding Fantasy Premier League managers how clinical he is in front of goal with a brace in West Ham’s 3-2 defeat to Southampton.
