WHEN ARJEN ROBBEN NEARLY JOINED UP WITH MANCHESTER UNTED.

The year was 2004, and the highly young talented winger Arjen Robben, was then playing for the Dutch club P.S.V. Eindhoven. But that year at the age of twenty he visited England , and was shown around by Sir Alex Ferguson, he was taken to the training ground at Carrington. Then in the night Arjen Robben was taken out by Sir Alex Ferguson for a dinner, and the two talked about the move to Manchester United. But sadly there were no progress in the paper work from Manchester United's side. During this time Chelsea showed big interest in the Dutch winger , and he moved to Chelsea instead. Chelsea later sold him to Real Madrid for a huge sum of money, and he joined another Dutch player Wesley Sneijder. But later Real Madrid in the year 2009, were forced to sell their famous Dutch footballers Arjen Robben and Wesley Sneijder, as the Spanish giants Real Madrid wanted to generate funds to buy the young Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo, for eighty million pounds. Arjen Robben then was sold to the German giants Bayern Munich, where he is playing today.
