Broadcaster and Arsenal fan Piers Morgan sent an impassioned message to Mikel Arteta’s players after their 2-0 win v Wolves.

Arsenal got their Premier League title bid back on track with a crucial win against Wolves at Molineux Stadium on Saturday evening. 

This was a must-win game for the Gunners. Having been beaten by Aston Villa last time out in the Premier League, in a result which handed control of the title race to Manchester City, Arsenal needed to win to keep their dream of being crowned champions alive.

The North London club followed up that loss against Aston Villa with a defeat to Bayern Munich which saw them eliminated from the Champions League. Following this double dose of disappointment, the mood at the Emirates Stadium was unsurprisingly low.

Arsenal bounce back from double blow with Wolves win

However, in the wake of their loss against The Villans, Gary Neville insisted that Arsenal remained in the title race as long they could bounce back in the Premier League straight away. 

After the failure at the Allianz Arena in Germany, Declan Rice promised Arsenal fans a positive response against Wolves, and he and his teammates were able to deliver. 

It was not a vintage display at Molienux. The Gunners were made to work incredibly hard for their win by Gary O’Neill’s determined and well-drilled side. However, David Raya was able to impress Arsenal fans, and Bukayo Saka looked to have been given a new lease of life following a tactical tweak to his role by Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal got the job they needed to done against Wolves, and must now kick on from here.

Piers Morgan sends message to Arsenal squad after Wolves clash

After the match, Piers Morgan took to X in celebration, and in order to send a message to the players. He said, “BIG win. BIG comeback. BIG statement. A very bad week ends with a very good away victory and we go back to the top of the Premier League. Well played, chaps.”

Morgan has been outspoken in his criticism of Arteta in the past, but clearly now believes that the Gunners can achieve something special this season. 

Arsenal are now of course relying on Manchester City to drop points, but they must also ensure that they win their five remaining games. This win against Wolves has to be the start of a run that carries them all the way to a chance of being crowned champions.
