Tottenham will now be without £15m 'revelation' heading into Arsenal clash next week

Tottenham will be without one of their key players next week against Arsenal in the North London Derby due to a season-ending injury.

The Gunners face one of their biggest games of the year yet next Sunday when Mikel Arteta’s side travel across North London to face Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham, with the Premier League title on the line for Arsenal.

With Tottenham also in a battle for top-four, there will be an incredible incentive from Spurs to beat Arsenal with a win against the Gunners all but ending their title hopes, with Antonio Conte dealing a similar late-season blow two years ago in the UEFA Champions League race.

However, Tottenham will now face Arsenal without one of their most important players.

Tottenham star Destiny Udogie ruled out of Arsenal tie with injury

As per BBC Sport, Destiny Udogie will not feature for Tottenham next Sunday against Arsenal, with the defender out for the season after picking up an injury that required the £15m signing from Udinese to go under the knife.

Lauded by Robbie Savage as a ‘revelation’ for Tottenham this season, Udogie has arguably been one of the best fullbacks in the Premier League this year, with the Italian international scoring two goals and bagging three assists in 28 league games.

With Arsenal having a fully-fit squad, the Gunners now have a significant advantage against Tottenham with Udogie out injured, something that Bukayo Saka could look to exploit in a big way next weekend.

However, even with the youngster out through injury, Arsenal are fully aware just how big this North London Derby will be, with Tottenham and their fans more than up for the occasion.

Arsenal can’t afford to slip up next weekend at Spurs

Last season’s 2-0 win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was one of Arsenal’s best performances under Arteta, with the Gunners showing just how far they’ve come under the Basque coach.

Whilst there’s every chance that Arsenal could put on as good a display as last year’s away win, Spurs are a different beast under Postecoglou who will give the red side of north London a difficult match.

Moreover, given the stakes, Arsenal can’t let the pressure get to them, with the title on the line and the Gunners as close as they have been to winning it in the last 20 years.
